Ready to have your say? Great! You can submit here.
What kind of content are we looking for?
WhyNot? is a collection of stories and ideas, uncensored, un-institutionalised, and without any other agenda than to make sure the voices of young people are heard.
While we’re primarily after written work between 500-800 words, if you want to send us a video or comic (or something else!) that’s awesome too.
We’re looking for original pieces of work by Australians 18-30 that tell a story about what it’s like to be a young Australian today. From school and uni to finding a job and your place in the world – we know there are a lot of things facing young Australians. This is a safe space to tell us how you really feel.
How to prepare good content for submission.
Thinking of submitting? Awesome! Before you send in your masterpiece, here are some things to keep in mind.
We’re looking for work that:
- Interests the visitor
- Provides a new point of view about a current issue
- Engages with young Australians
- Comes from the heart
- Ensure your contribution has a clear purpose
Some tips: ask a friend to read over your submission. Does your topic matter to young Australians? If this topic has already been written about, are you saying something new? And hey: don’t forget to use spell check!
