SHOW ME THE MONEY
At our core, fair compensation isn't just a value; it's a commitment we take seriously.
We recognise that many of our contributors are university students, juggling multiple hustles (side or otherwise), or just beginning their freelancing careers. Whether it's your first or hundredth published piece, we're here to support you in breaking into the world of publication.
At WhyNot, every published contributor receives payment – because your talent, your voice and your time deserves recognition.
We pay contributors up to $250 AUD per published piece, providing not only a little extra incentive to dedicate yourself but also a tangible acknowledgment of the value we place on your creativity and expertise.
Why does this matter?
Because valuing your expertise and effort with fair financial compensation is crucial for nurturing a thriving and sustainable community of trailblazers, dreamers, and changemakers.
By acknowledging the unique talents freelancers bring to the table, we demonstrate respect for their craft, enabling them to continue enriching industries and captivating audiences worldwide.
Fair compensation isn't just about dollars and cents; it's about fostering a partnership built on mutual respect, inspiring contributors to consistently deliver top-notch, innovative content.
Our rates are benchmarked against industry standards to ensure competitiveness and equity. Our aim is simple: to not only empower you in amplifying your voice and professional growth but also to express genuine gratitude for your invaluable contributions.
How does it work?
For a lot of emerging freelancers, invoicing can be a daunting and off-putting process.
We understand the struggle! That's why our Editorial Committee is here to lend a helping hand to our contributors as they navigate this uncertain terrain. The best part? It's a straightforward process!
Once your work is published, our team will reach out to you via email. We'll guide you through the entire invoicing process, providing you with an invoice template that only requires you to fill out your details (which we're sure you've got down pat).
