Daniel Patava

Daniel is a youth advocate and program coordinator living in Brisbane (Meanjin), Queensland.

He is committed to providing professional opportunities for young people to create change, motivated by his own experiences growing up in regional Queensland. After five years of volunteering with UN Youth, the largest youth-led organisation in Australia, he was elected President in 2020. As Coordinator of the Queensland Youth Parliament (QYP), he was similarly responsible for managing a large team of volunteers and delivering a program for hundreds of participants on behalf of YMCA Queensland. Today he remains involved as the youngest member of the YMCA Queensland Board of Directors. Recently he was selected to join the Queensland Policy Futures Graduate Program – through the Department of Premier and Cabinet. He now works as a policy advisor for the Queensland Government. His goal is to someday work overseas, and encourage internationalism and youth perspectives across all levels of society and government.
